Professional background
Dr Maha Khan graduated as a medical doctor in 2001 and started her training in psychiatry in 2007 in the United Kingdom. She received membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2013 and attained her Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training in 2016. She gained fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in 2022 and has been working in Australia as a General Adult Psychiatrist since 2021.
Dr Khan has wide experience of working in different psychiatric sub-specialties, but her main expertise lies with working-age adults presenting with psychiatric illnesses.
Dr Khan has extensive experience of working, using the bio-psycho-social model and her work with personality disorders intensive treatment team allowed her to gain valuable experience in the psychological domain, which she uses in her routine assessments for the benefit of her patients.
