The View offers a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental environment for individuals seeking support with addiction, emotional distress and unhelpful coping patterns.
Our program supports patients to better understand the underlying factors contributing to substance use, develop healthier coping strategies and reconnect with daily life and wellbeing.
Our inpatient program is offered in two stages:
Foundation programs provide you with essential base skills and comprehensive assessment and, where clinically appropriate, access to medically supported detox to help you safely begin your recovery journey. Foundation programs are based on psychoeducation, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles to support managing distress, overcoming and addressing symptoms of mood and addiction.
Our admissions and assessment team will work with you to explore your options and ensure you are in placed in the most suitable foundation program.
The Foundation program is a minimum three-week inpatient stay and is recommended prior to progressing to the next stage, Maintenance and Relapse Prevention.
Following completion of The Foundation program, the Enhancing Resilience program focuses on recovery from addiction and substance dependence. The structured three-week program is based on Positive Psychology, which uses individual strengths, psychoeducation and relapse prevention strategies to support long-term recovery and resilience. During your three-week stay with us, you will gain skills to help you:
All our programs integrate evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment with complementary therapies such as mindfulness, movement therapy, creative therapies, horticulture and wellbeing activities to support whole-person recovery.
Recovery is not one and done. Once you have completed your inpatient stay, we work alongside you to develop a plan for ongoing support, connection and continued healing.
Our day programs are designed to help patients continue building the skills and confidence needed to maintain recovery and support long-term wellbeing.
Our Dual Diagnosis program runs one day per week for 24 weeks and incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and psychoeducation to strengthen coping strategies, emotional resilience and relapse prevention skills.
The program is offered both in-person and virtually for people living regionally or unable to attend onsite.
